GHS47 Million in Unpaid Taxes: GRA Takes Steps to Recover Debt from State Institutions

Accra: The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has disclosed that nine institutions owe the state a total of GHS47 million in unpaid taxes as of 2023, with the Graphic Communications Group Limited among the institutions. CAGD Dismisses Claims of GHS138.91 Billion Public Debt Overstatement

Accra: The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) on Monday refuted allegations that it overstated Ghana’s public debt by GHS138.91 billion in the 2023 Whole of Government Accounts. Mourner Detained for Allegedly Possessing Three Pump Action Guns

Akwatia: The Police at Akwatia in the Eastern Region have detained a 36-year-old man over the possession of three guns during a snap check at Staff Village, Boadua in the region. Stephen Nkansah, a mourner, was nabbed during a search on his Toyota Tundra Pick up, which was heading from Asamankese to Boadua with five other mourners on board.
