Tunis: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, met Tuesday in Bahrain with his counterparts from Jordan, Yemen and Syria to discuss bilateral relations, the decisions of the Arab summits and the situation in the Palestinian territories. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the thirty-third Arab Summit held in Manama on May 14. Minister Ammar discussed with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Hussein Safadi "the excellent relations between the two countries in various fields" and reaffirmed the importance of convening the joint commission as soon as possible. The meeting focused on key issues of mutual interest, including "the genocide being perpetrated by the occupying entity against the Palestinian people", as well as the draft resolutions to be presented at the upcoming Arab Summit to be held on Thursday in Manama, Bahrain. The existing cooperation between Tunisia and Yemen, the means to support and develop it, as well as the expected resolutions of the Arab summit and the situation in Yemen were the focus of the meeting between FM Ammar and Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Shaea al-Zandani. The meeting also tackled the genocide being perpetrated by the occupying entity against the Palestinian people. Minister Nabil Ammar and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Faisal Mekdad, called for "intensifying the exchange of visits between senior officials of the two countries". They highlighted the excellent cooperation between Tunisia and Syria in various fields.
