Fifteen Tunisian enterprises seek to conquer Senegalese market

Tunis: Some fifteen Tunisian enterprises operating in various sectors, mainly agriculture, the agri-food industry, public works, building materials, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, stationery as well as services, are taking part in a business mission on May 13-15 in Dakar, Senegal. The mission is organised by the Exports Promotion Centre (French: CEPEX), in collaboration with Tunisia's embassy in Dakar. Tunisian business leaders will be able to explore new business opportunities and seal strategic partnerships with their Senegalese counterparts. A business forum was held on Monday, with the participation of over 300 Senegalese economic operators, CEPEX said. CEO of CEPEX Mourad Ben Hassine presented the Tunisian offer and trade figures. Senegal is Tunisia's first sub-Saharan African partner with an export volume of TND 267 million in 2023 (+42% on the previous year), that is 17% of the overall sub-Saharan Africa volume. Other presentations on the business climate in Senegal and the mechanisms and investm ent facilitation in the country were made by officials of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, the ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Projects (APIX ). On the sidelines of this forum, a partnership agreement was signed by the Tunisian economic interest grouping "We Value" and Senegal's Ecole d'Art Oratoire et Leadership (EAOL).
