Ghana Government Releases Initial GH?25 Million Allowance to Assembly Members
Accra: The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Finance, has initiated the distribution of allowances to Assembly Members by releasing GH?25 million to the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MLGCRA). This release marks the first installment of a GH?100 million allocation designed to provide monthly consolidated allowances to Assembly Members nationwide. According to Ghana News Agency, as of Monday, July 14, 2025, the Ministry had distributed a total of GH?23,621,000 to cover allowances for the months of April and May.
