Accra: The Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations (GFD) has officially welcomed four new organisations as partners, strengthening its network and advocacy efforts. The new partners include the Stroke Association Support Network (SASNET), Integrated Dignity and Economic Advancement (IDEA – Ghana), Ghana Association of Persons with Little Stature (GAP-LIS), and the Association of Parents and Caregivers of Persons with Disabilities in Ghana. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Joseph Atsu Homadzi, President of the GFD, inaugurated these organisations during a ceremony, highlighting the federation’s dedication to supporting minority and under-developed groups advocating for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Somanya: A 47-year-old lotto writer, identified as Joseph Abofu, has been remanded into prison custody following the death of a 50-year-old woman, Martha BediSika, after a violent altercation at a drinking spot in Somanya.
