Obuasi: A swift response by the Obuasi Divisional Police Command disrupted a robbery attempt on the Tutuka-Akrofuom road in Obuasi, leading to one arrest. Businessman Charged with GHS490,600 Theft Appears in Court

Dansoman: A Nigerian businessman has appeared before the Dansoman Circuit Court for allegedly embezzling GHS490,600 belonging to his employer. Desmond Theke, charged with stealing, pleaded not guilty. He is accused of misappropriating funds belonging to Mr. Solomon Okechukwu, a dealer in bales of secondhand clothing. The court granted Theke bail in the sum of GHS500,000 with two sureties, one of whom must justify with title deeds equivalent to the bail amount. Forest Guard in Court for Allegedly Concealing Illicit Drugs in Clothing

Dansoman: A forest guard has appeared before the Dansoman Circuit Court for allegedly concealing illicit drugs in clothing destined for Dormaa Ahenkro. George Nii Quaye was reportedly intercepted at the VIP bus terminal at Kwame Nkrumah Circle by a driver’s mate who suspected the parcel he was dispatching. CSA, Police Clamp Down on Online Fraud Syndicates

Accra: A joint operation by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Ghana Police Service has led to the arrest of 65 suspects linked to cybercrime and online fraud across the country. According to Ghana News Agency, the arrests, made between May and July 2025, included 47 foreign nationals and 18 Ghanaians. Key operations were carried out in Sogakope, Dodowa Sassabi Ubuntu Estate, Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, and Teshie-Nungua. Mr. Divine Selase Agbeti, Acting Director-General of the CSA, disclosed at a joint press briefing that 23 of the 25 suspects arrested at Dodowa were identified as victims of human trafficking and repatriated.

Three Dead, 20 Injured in Violent Clash at Agona Abodom

Agona abodom: Three suspected land guards were killed, whilst more than 20 people sustained injuries at Agona Abodom during a violent clash between residents and land guards allegedly from Greater Kasoa.
