No School Feeding Activities in Kadjebi District: Concern for Pupils’ Attendance

Kadjebi: Kadjebi District is facing a significant disruption in its school feeding programme with no meals provided to pupils during the ongoing third term, which began on May 9, 2025. According to Ghana News Agency, a recent visit to various schools in the district confirmed that the schools were not serving meals to the pupils. At the Kadjebi E.P Primary School, Headteacher, Mr. George Amati expressed concern over the situation, noting that there was no cooking during the term, leaving 721 pupils who benefit from the programme without meals. He indicated that a formal report on the issue will follow.

Illegal Miner Jailed for Unlawful Entry, Causing Damage

Tarkwa: The Tarkwa District Magistrate Court One has sentenced Prince Awuah, a 26-year-old illegal miner, to 16 months imprisonment with hard labour for unlawful entry and causing damage. Accra: An Accra High Court has dismissed an application by Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie against the Electoral Commission’s planned election re-run in Ablekuma North Constituency.
