Koforidua: The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) Zonal Public Engagement held in Koforidua has drawn widespread participation, as citizens from across the Eastern Region gathered to share views and suggestions on reforming Ghana’s 1992 Constitution. Accra: The Special Unit of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two employees of a company at North Kaneshie, Accra, for allegedly conspiring to rob the firm during a scheduled cash transfer. The suspects, identified as Joseph Danso, alias Nana Yaw, and Fauzan Alhassan, were apprehended on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, while trailing a dispatch rider conveying company funds to a bank at Abossey Okai. Abuakwa: A 25-year-old level 200 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been jailed 10 years by the Asante Akropong circuit court in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District, for robbing a hairdresser at Abuakwa. Fatawu Amponsah, who is also a driver’s mate, pleaded guilty and was convicted on his own plea, by the court presided by Mrs Gloria Mensah Bonsu. According to Ghana News Agency, Police Detective Inspector Alexander Agbekpornu, prosecuting, told the court that Juliet Nyarko, the victim, was a hairdresser apprentice at Abuakwa-Asenemaso, while Fatawu resided at SDA junction, also in the area.
