Accra: Management of Trasacco Estates Development Company Limited has urged their investors and homeowners to remain calm while they continue with authorities to resolve issues concerning their lands. ‘We reassure our investors and homeowners of our steadfast commitment to protecting their interests and delivering quality serviced plots. ‘We urge all stakeholders to remain calm and trust in the rule of law as we work with the authorities to resolve this matter swiftly’.
According to Ghana News Agency, speaking at a news conference in Accra, Mr. Kwame Owusu Danso, Corporate Affairs and Legal Director of the Trasacco Group, said calm had however returned to vicinities of their demolished lands at Tema. He was providing updates on the demolitions of their property at the Tema Springs serviced plots development near Tema, along the Accra-Tema motorway, to reassure investors, homeowners, and the public.
‘We confirm that calm has been restored following the criminal and unlawful demolitions of fence walls and property belonging to Trasacco and its clients.’ Mr. Danso said the Ghana Police Service had identified suspects involved in the illegal acts, issued invitations for questioning, and is actively pursuing those who had fled the jurisdiction.
‘We condemn this criminality in the strongest terms and are cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure justice is served. To clarify false narratives, we have contacted the Office of the National Chief Imam, which confirmed no authorization was given for claims involving His Eminence in this matter. We have also reached out to the Presidency to verify reports of alleged military involvement and await their response.’
He said Trasacco lawfully acquired the 270.1-acre land for the Tema Springs project from the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) in 2004, formalized in a lease dated November 29, 2012. ‘For over a decade, we have developed this land, enabling peaceful occupation for our clients. Access to essential facilities, including the school for students, remains fully open and uninterrupted’.
