Accra: Reddington Beach Resort in Whuti in the Anloga district is set to host the Volta Economic Forum, the Hogbetsotsoza edition, on Friday, October 31. The forum, organized by the Volta Corridor Investment Centre in collaboration with partners including Ghana Exim Bank, will start at 1200 hours at the Reddington Beach Resort.
According to Ghana News Agency, the event will feature a lineup of speakers such as Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Elikplim Afetorgbor, CEO of Independent Power Generators, and Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Foreign Minister, among other notable dignitaries. The discussions will focus on strategies to tap into the Volta Economic Corridor’s potential for a 24-hour economy policy, aiming to benefit the greater populace of the country.
Special speakers expected at the forum include Mr. Doe Adjahoe, former Speaker of Parliament, Volta Region Council of State member Mr. Bernard Ahiafor, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mr. Senanu Kwasi Djokoto, deputy Director of NHIS, and others. Their participation is expected to add value to discussions on harnessing economic potentials in the Volta region.
The Volta Economic Forum aims to explore ways to boost economic activities in the Volta corridor, which could positively impact Ghana’s overall economic growth. Moderators for the event include Mr. Selorm Adonoo of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Mr. Roland Walker of TV3, and Ama Aklorde, who will guide discussions among speakers and guests.
