People of Adaklu Advised to Respect Presidential Nomination of District Chief Executive

Adaklu: Mr. Christopher Galenkui, Adaklu Constituency Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised the people of Adaklu to respect the decision of the President to nominate Mr. Jerry Ameko as District Chief Executive (DCE). "The decision of the President superintends individual and factional interests, so let us all respect his decision and support Mr. Ameko," he stated.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Galenkui made the call in an interview at Adaklu Waya in response to President John Mahama's nomination for the position. He emphasized that those who contested or were shortlisted but not selected should come together for the betterment of the Assembly.

Mr. Galenkui expressed hope that members of the Adaklu District Assembly would endorse Mr. Ameko to fill the existing vacancy, ensuring the Assembly's effective and efficient functioning. He noted that Mr. Ameko's grassroots connection would aid in transforming the district and increasing the Assembly's revenue.

Rev. Samuel Amegboe of the Assemblies of God Church urged Mr. Ameko to collaborate with traditional authorities to harness the district's arable lands for agricultural development, potentially driving economic and social growth.

A New Patriotic Party activist, identified only as Nicholas, praised Mr. Ameko as humble, affable, and hardworking, deeming him the perfect fit for the DCE role. Mr. Ameko, who was the incumbent Constituency Chairman of the NDC before his nomination, was selected among several nominees in a letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to President.
