Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar held separate talks with Libya's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Al-Taher Al-Baour and Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug. This was on the sidelines of his participation in the 8th Regional Forum of the Union for Mediterranean in Barcelona (November 26- 27, 2023). The regional state of affairs and bilateral relations took centre stage in both meetings, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The convergence of views about the situation in the Middle East and the need to secure a lasting ceasefire in Palestinian territories were highlighted. Emphasis was also laid on the necessity of enforcing the international humanitarian law and chanelling urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and supporting their efforts to recover their legitimate rights.
