The Ministry of the Interior says Monday, January 1, 2024, which marks the beginning of the New Year is a public holiday and it should be observed as such. 'The general public is hereby informed that Monday, Ist January 2024, which marks New Year, is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.'
