JAP – Hammamet-2023 (Coastal Rowing): Tunisia win three more gold medals

Tunisia has won three new gold medals in coastal rowing thanks to the mixed doubles pair of Heni Sbeiti-Khadija Krimi, who clocked 2:26:53 at the end of the third day of competition at the 2nd African Beach Games (JAP Hammamet-2023). Silver went to the Moroccan pair of Brahim Merghi-Majdouline Aloui, while bronze went to the Algerian pair of Nour Zaoued and Nihad Ben Chedly. In men's doubles, Tunisia's Heni Sbeiti-Fedi Ben Hammouda also took gold ahead of Morocco's Ayoub Bousetta-Abderrahmane Aalej (silver), while the South African pair took bronze. In the women's doubles, gold went to Tunisia's Aicha Abdelaziz and Sarra Zammeli, who beat their South African (silver) and Moroccan (bronze) opponents. Earlier in the morning, Tunisia won the gold medals in both the men's and women's singles rowing events. The men's gold medal went to Mohamed Taieb, who won in 2 minutes 28 seconds, ahead of Morocco's Ibrahim Miraghi (2.35) and Libya's Mohamed Boukrah (2.44). The women's gold medal went to Khedija Krimi, who finished in 2:48, ahead of Algeria's Nihad Dabbachi (3:00) and Nigeria's Toko Esther (3:01).
