Tunisia's Ghaylène Khattali booked his ticket for the Paris-2024 Olympic Games, after winning the gold medal in the canoe C1 1000m event at the First Confederation of Africa Canoe Sprint and Para Canoe qualifiers, hosted by Nigeria's Jabi Lake in Abuja on Friday. The Tunisian team also won four medals on day 1 (2 silver and 2 bronze). The silver went to the pair Ghaylène and Adlène Khattali (canoe 500 m double) and Mohamed Ali Mrabet and Slaheddine Maknine (kayak 500 m double), while the bronze was won by pair Ranim Kamerji-Sabiha Ben Othmene in the kayak 500 m double and Sabiha Ben Othmane in the kayak 500 m individual.
