Family Ministry, AUPFH ink agreement to scale up cooperation

Tunis: A partnership agreement was inked Tuesday by the Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly and the Arab Union for Productive Families, Handicrafts and Traditionnal Industries (AUPFH) so as to scale up bilateral cooperation in several fields, including shairing of specific data on productive families and crafts and marketing products in Arab and international fairs. Signed by Minister Amel Belhaj Moussa and AUPFH President Mohamed Abdelbasset El Qadah, this agreement also aims to diversify sources of income for productive families in the handicrafts sector and share successful experiences, in addition to drawing up a unified Arab guide and increasing training and access to marketing channels. By virtue of this agreement, both officials undertook to set up a joint committee to be tasked with drawing up an implementation plan for this agreement, including activities and follow-up, and developing a tripartite assessement report. Moussa said the agreement aims to share expertise and organise tr ade fairs to ensure marketinf for productive families and build on the experience of AUPFH member countries. El Qadah said the union is working, within the framework of the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) and the League of Arab States (LAS), to support productive families in connection to training and integration and consolidate their participation in Arab and international fairs to market their products.
