Ex NFL Player Doug Martin Dies in Police Custody After Oakland Break-In

Oakland: Former NFL running back, Doug Martin, died while in police custody after a break-in, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) said on Monday. The 36-year-old died on Saturday during a police operation, the OPD stated in a Facebook post. According to Ghana News Agency, prior to his death, Martin was involved in a break-in at a residence in Oakland. During the incident, responding officers attempted to detain him, leading to a brief struggle. After being taken into custody, Martin became unresponsive. Paramedics arrived at the scene, provided medical aid, and transported Martin to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police Investigates Asuakwaa Fire Disaster

Sunyani: The Bono Regional Police Command is investigating the cause of a fire outbreak that burnt a couple to death at Asuakwaa, a suburb of Sunyani on Sunday, October 19. Prisons Service Seeks Housing Partnership with State Housing Company

Accra: The Ghana Prisons Service is pursuing a partnership with the State Housing Company (SHC) to improve accommodation for officers and inmates.
