Takoradi Residents Worried Over Hike in Utility Tariffs
Takoradi: The recent announcement by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) of a 2.45 per cent increase in electricity tariffs has sparked concerns among residents in Takoradi. The tariff hike, which was supposed to take effect on July 1, 2025, applied to all customer categories, including residential, non-residential, and special load tariff (SLT) customers.
