MoFA Warns Against Fraudulent Grant Scheme Targeting SMEs
Accra: The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has issued a warning to the public concerning a fraudulent online scheme aimed at Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SME) agri-businesses, involving a fake grant registration. According to Ghana News Agency, the Ministry released a statement on Tuesday highlighting that the publication circulating on social media is designed to deceive unsuspecting individuals and businesses and should be disregarded. The fraudulent scheme attempts to convince SMEs to register with an entity named Global Farmers Association (GFA), allegedly based in Nairobi, Kenya, to acquire a certificate of accreditation under a non-existent Agricultural SMEs Grant Initiative 2025.
