Accra: The Government says it will dish out stiffer punishment to drivers who exceed the country’s axle load limits to secure the life span of roads. Accra: An Accra High Court has dismissed an application by Mr Kenneth Ofori-Atta, a former Finance Minister, seeking to strike out a warrant issued for his arrest by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). According to Ghana News Agency, lawyers for Mr Ofori-Atta argued that the OSP unlawfully obtained the warrant. They asked the court to set aside all related proceedings, including an Interpol Red Notice alert. However, the court ruled on Thursday that the application lacked merit and dismissed it in its entirety.

Accra: President John Dramani Mahama has strongly condemned the recent incident involving the manhandling of some journalists by state security personnel. ‘Such conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. London: Airlines were attempting to recover their flight operations, after an air traffic control (ATC) fault caused major disruption to British aviation on Wednesday. Thousands of passengers were affected, with many likely to continue facing issues with their journeys.
