Over 10,000 Pets to Receive Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination in Kpone-Katamanso
Accra: Over 10,000 pets, including dogs, cats, and monkeys, have been targeted for free anti-rabies vaccination in the Kpone-Katamanso municipality of the Greater Accra Region. Dr. Emmanuel Kwao Pecku, the Tema Metropolitan Veterinary Officer with oversight duty for Kpone-Katamanso, announced that the free rabies exercise would commence on August 29 and end on October 02, 2025. According to Ghana News Agency, the exercise was organized by the Veterinary Services Department (VSD), Ghana Health Services (GHS), and Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA) in collaboration with the UK-based NGO, Mission Rabies.
