Takoradi: The Western Regional Health Directorate has recorded one confirmed death case of Mpox in the region. Dr. Gifty Amugi, the Western Regional Deputy Director for Public Health, disclosed that the region has documented a cumulative total of 246 confirmed Mpox cases. Among these, 52 cases are currently active, with two patients on admission, including one in critical condition, and 190 individuals have recovered as of September 18, 2025.
