Anyaa All Saints Lutheran Church Unveils New Chapel and Community Facilities

Accra: The Anyaa Branch of the All Saints Lutheran Church dedicated its new chapel and astro turf in Accra on Sunday, urging the Church to prioritize community development investments. The multipurpose facility, featuring a cafeteria and an adjoining astro turf, was funded through the church's internally generated resources.

According to Ghana News Agency, the dedication ceremony was led by Reverend John Shadrach Donkoh, President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana. Rev. Donkoh highlighted that the new building provides significant relief to congregants who have dealt with flooding issues that disrupted the Church's activities over the years.

Rev. Donkoh remarked, "It is a special day because everybody sees the massive change that has occurred here. The Church has contributed a lot to the community. We take care of over 300 children since we came here." He reiterated the Church's commitment to community support, particularly aiding the vulnerable.

He also shared the Church's vision of establishing both a church and a school in all its operational regions throughout the country. The Lutheran Church, originating in the early sixteenth century with Martin Luther's protest against certain Roman Catholic practices, began its operations in Ghana in 1958. Currently, it boasts 28 congregations and 120 preaching stations nationwide, serving approximately 10,000 members.
