Assembly Approves Dormaa Central MCE

Accra: The 44-member Dormaa Central Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region has confirmed the President Nominee, Mr. Dominic Adomah Ameyaw, as the Dormaa Municipal Chief Executive. The Assembly comprises 30 elected assembly members and 14 government appointees.

According to Ghana News Agency, in an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC), the President nominee secured 31 'yes' votes, representing 70 percent of the total votes of the Assembly. Mr. Adomah expressed his gratitude to the Assembly Members for their endorsement and pledged to work diligently for the rapid development of the municipality.

Earlier, Baffour Kwadwo Damoah Afari, the Sanaahene (sub-chief) of the Dormaa Traditional Area, emphasized the importance of a peaceful election process and encouraged the assembly members to support the President nominee to facilitate development. Mr. Nar-ire P David, the Dormaa Central Municipal Coordinating Director, praised the assembly members for their orderly conduct during the elections.
