Kasoa: Alhaji Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation (CCF), has inaugurated and dedicated a mosque and a two-bedroom mission house in memory of his late wife, Amina Oppong Kwarteng. The mosque, named 'MASJID AMINA,' is located at Krispol City Jamaat in Kasoa North Circuit in the Kasoa Zone of the Greater Accra Region. It features a ground floor prayer area for men, an upper floor for women, an MTA Facility, an office, a storeroom, separate male and female ablution areas, and a mechanized borehole for water supply.
According to Ghana News Agency, Alhaji Maulvi Noor Mohammed Bin Salih, the Ameer and Missionary in Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Ghana, commended Alhaji Kwarteng and his household for the gesture and prayed for Allah's continuous guidance and protection. He assured Alhaji Kwarteng that Allah would continue to bless him as he endeavors to support the mission. He urged other Ahmadis, who are well-endowed, to emulate the good example of Alhaji Kwarteng and support their communities in need.
The Ameer called on community members to show love, kindness, and compassion to one another, emphasizing that these virtues could be achieved by praying to Allah for guidance. He highlighted the importance of supporting each other within the various Jamaats, stressing that members have no excuse to neglect this responsibility.
Alhaji Kwarteng expressed that the mosque serves as a source of moral and spiritual support for the poor. He noted that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the area had been struggling for a proper place to pray, often facing difficulties during rain. The 400-capacity mosque aims to address these pressing needs and provide a dedicated place of worship.
Inspiration and motivation from his late wife played a significant role in Alhaji Kwarteng's decision to build the mosque. He recounted how, after being approached by a community member for support, his wife encouraged him to proceed with the construction, leading to the mosque being named in her honor.
Alhaji Adam Kofi Yamoah, the Greater Accra Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, emphasized the importance of constructing a mission house alongside the mosque. This initiative ensures that Imams are comfortably accommodated close to the mosque, facilitating the congregation of the five daily prayers.
