Esperance Sportive de Tunis got their new African Champions League campaign off to a good start with a 2-0 win over Etoile Sportive du Sahel, Tunisia's other representative in the competition, in the first match of the group phase (Group C) at the Hamadi Agrebi stadium in Rades on Saturday. The goals came from Yann Sasse in the 60th minute and Yassine Meriah from the penalty spot in the 64th minute. On the second matchday, Esperance ST will travel to Oum Durman to take on Al Hilal of Sudan on December 1, while Etoile du Sahel will host Petro Luanda of Angola on December 2.
