Accra: ABAK Foundation Ghana, in partnership with Sightsavers Ireland and with funding from the European Union, has held a capacity-building workshop to equip Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The project, titled ‘Strengthening Civil Society Representation of Women with Disabilities in Ghana’, brought together representatives from 20 districts across four regions: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, and Bono East, focusing on safeguarding gender mainstreaming, disability inclusion, and climate change. According to Ghana News Agency, the goal was to strengthen the capacities of local organizations to effectively engage in advocacy and community-based initiatives that promote inclusion and equality for persons with disabilities, especially women.

Accra: Ghana must develop a national roadmap to align its packaging regulations with emerging European Union (EU) standards to safeguard the country’s agri-food exports, according to Dr Hanson Arthur, Senior Consultant at Farrelly Mitchell Business Consultants Limited. Accra: The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced plans to charge former Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta and five others for corruption-related offences linked to Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML). The others facing charges include Ernest Akore, Chef de Cabinet to Mr. Ofori-Atta; Emmanuel Kofi Nti and Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, both former Commissioner-Generals of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA); Isaac Crentsil and Kwadwo Damoah, former Commissioners of the Customs Division of GRA. Tema: The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana has organised a two-day workshop on Maritime and Port Operations Management and Safety for leaders and professionals in the maritime logistics sector. The maiden workshop, held in Tema, was designed to equip participants with advanced management, administrative, and technical skills to enhance efficiency and safety in port and shipping operations.
