Motor Rider in Court Over Abduction, Defilement Charges

Accra: A commercial motor rider has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court charged with abduction and defilement. Abel Ansah, who appeared in court with his legal team, pleaded not guilty to the charges. Police Gun Down Two Suspected Robbers at Mankraso

Mankraso: Two individuals believed to be members of a gang of robbers have been gunned down by the police at Mankraso in the Ashanti Region. A police statement issued on Wednesday revealed that the bodies of the suspects, Osman Majid Abdul Sadik, also known as Cross, 25, and Abdulai Sadik, 20, have been placed at the Bekwai Municipal Hospital Morgue for preservation. According to Ghana News Agency, the suspects allegedly engaged the police in a shootout. Following the exchange of gunfire, the suspects sustained injuries and were transported to the Bekwai Municipal Hospital where they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
