Accra: Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has declared her bid to contest for New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary. The former Minister of Communication and Digitalisation and outgone Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West made the announcement via her social media platform. Accra: Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is leading the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries race, according to a recent poll. The survey, conducted by Dr Evans Duah of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), sampled 26,150 delegates, representing 12.76 per cent of the total delegate population of 204,890. Elubo: Mr Joseph Nelson, the Western Regional Minister, has tasked Ghanaian security officials on the Ghana-Ivory Coast border at Elubo, to ensure heightened vigilance to prevent illegal migrants from entering the country ahead of the Ivorian general elections. During a working visit to the border, he stated that about 1,500 Ivorian nationals were seeking refuge in the country ahead of the October 25 presidential elections in C´te d’Ivoire, and that there was the need for strict vigilance to ensure these people did not compromise Ghana’s security.
