Addis ababa: Ethiopian marathon runner, Shewarge Alene, has died at the age of 30, the Ethiopian Athletics Federation confirmed to dpa on Thursday. She complained of heart problems during a training session in Addis Ababa, and passed away shortly afterwards, said Yohannes Engida, the federation’s secretary general. According to Ghana News Agency, the athlete was buried on Wednesday, at a cemetery in a suburb of the capital. Shewarge Alene had recently achieved victory in the Stockholm Marathon on May 31.
