Accra: The Ghana Employers’ Association (GEA) and the Trades Union Congress (TUC) Ghana have called for urgent and targeted policy actions to boost productivity, job creation, and inclusive economic growth. The two bodies, representing workers and employers, said Ghana’s economic transformation had been stalled, citing recent findings from the Ghana Statistical Service and the International Labour Organization’s Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work Project. According to Ghana News Agency, they stressed that bold, coordinated action was needed to unlock the country’s productivity potential. They emphasized that exchange rate volatility, unstable prices, and credit constraints were undermining enterprise competitiveness and job security.

Accra: Her Ladyship, Justice Hafisata Amaliboba, a justice of the Supreme Court, has urged staff of the Judicial Service to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties to protect the integrity and sanctity of the service. Accra: David Kwodow Prah Afful, the man seen in a viral video threatening to kill the President, Members of Parliament, and other government officials if he had a gun or a cutlass, has been handed a seven-month prison sentence. Appearing before an Accra Circuit Court, Afful pleaded guilty to charges of threat of death and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace.
