Berekum: The just ended Ghana Medical Relief health outreach conducted in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region dispensed more than 8,000 prescriptions, ensuring patients received the necessary medications to manage various health conditions. According to Ghana News Agency, to enhance long-term healthcare access, GMR also sponsored the acquisition of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards for 2,370 individuals, enabling them to continue receiving medical care beyond the outreach. Man Apprehended at Police Barrier with Unregistered Firearm

Obuasi: The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested a man for the unlawful possession of a foreign pistol and ammunition. Osman Abdul Majeed, the suspect, was apprehended on July 29, 2025, at the Tweapease Police Barrier near Obuasi in the Ashanti Region during a routine vehicle search operation. Accra: A 34-year-old Okada rider, Maharaj Suleman, has been remanded into police custody by the Asante Abuakwa Circuit Court in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality for allegedly abducting a 13-year-old girl. Accra: The Ghana Armed Forces has announced the disappearance of Ghana Air Force (GHAF) helicopter, Z9, which was en route to Obuasi from Accra on Wednesday.
