16 Perish in Northern Cote d’Ivoire Road Accident

Katiola: Sixteen people were killed and 51 others injured in a road accident in northern Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday morning, according to the country’s transport ministry. A public bus crashed with a crane-carrying truck on the Katiola-Niakara highway at around 0600 GMT, while traveling from San Pedro, southwestern Cote d’Ivoire, to Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou, the ministry said in a statement. According to Ghana News Agency, the incident resulted in a provisional toll of 16 fatalities and 51 injured individuals who were promptly evacuated by emergency services to the Regional Hospital Center of Katiola, located approximately 398 kilometers from Abidjan.

Court Sentences Couples for Theft, Dishonestly Receiving
