Tema Port to Undergo Major Dredging to Increase Capacity
Tema: The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) is set to embark on an extensive dredging initiative at the Tema Port to increase the harbour’s depth, allowing it to accommodate larger vessels. This development was disclosed by Brigadier General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, the Director General of GPHA, during a media briefing. According to Ghana News Agency, Brigadier Tanye-Kulono announced that preparations for the dredging project are well underway, with actual work anticipated to commence by the end of next August. Currently, the depth of Tema Port stands at approximately eight meters, but the GPHA plans to increase it to between
