Accra: The Dansoman Circuit Court has sentenced a 39-year-old taxi driver to 12 years imprisonment for defiling a 14-year-old girl at Mataheko, near Dansoman, Accra. The court, presided over by Mrs. Halimah Al-Alawa Abdul-Bassit, found the taxi driver, identified as Ammisah, guilty despite his plea of not guilty. Tarkwa: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly impersonating Ghana Gold Board Taskforce officials and extorting money from gold dealers.
