GTA, African American Association of Ghana Commemorate Juneteenth in Accra

Accra: The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with the African American Association of Ghana (AAAG), has commemorated the 2025 edition of the Juneteenth Festival in Accra to strengthen the bond between Ghana and the Diaspora. Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. Police Arrest 16 Illegal Miners in Ashanti Region

Kumasi: The Ghana Police Service has arrested 16 suspects during an anti-illegal mining operation at Essuminya and Apraprama Forest Reserves in the Ashanti Region. Porter Remanded Over Stealing, Destroying Metal Guardrails at Obetsebi Lamptey Overpass

Accra: Yaw Asare, a head porter, has appeared before the Dansoman Circuit Court for destroying and stealing six metal guardrails at the Obetsebi Lamptey Overpass at Kaneshie in Accra.
