Stakeholders Begin Reshaping Work on Wenchi-Wa Highway to Address Safety Concerns
Wenchi: Stakeholders have commenced work on the reshaping of portions of the Wenchi-Wa highway, one of the busiest stretches in the Bono Region, to stem frequent crashes and vehicular breakdowns on the highway. According to Ghana News Agency, at a meeting held at Wenchi in the Bono Region, the Wenchi branch of the Tipper Truck Drivers Association agreed to voluntarily release some of their trucks for the work. The Wenchi Municipal Assembly and the Wenchi Traditional Council are also providing earth moving machines and gravel respectively for the resurfacing and re-graveling works.
