Accra: An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Asimah Delali, a rubbish collector, to five years in prison for stealing property belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). Accra: An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced a 29-year-old mobile banker, Aziz Suleman, to five years imprisonment for stealing GHS70,840 from Abii National Savings and Loans. Suleman, charged with stealing, pleaded guilty and was convicted by Mr. Jojo Amoah Hagan, who also ordered him to refund GHS58,840. He had earlier paid GHS12,000 to the police during investigations. Frankadua: Heavy rains have left a trail of devastation in Frankadua, a community in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region. The downpour, which began late Saturday and lasted into Sunday, caused the Alabo River to overflow its banks, submerging parts of the community.
