A 32-year-old unemployed man, Derick Squire, wept uncontrollably when an Accra Circuit Court remanded him for a week on a charge of causing harm. Rice and vegetable farmers at Ohiamaadwen in the Shama District, have appealed to the government to establish a Mechanization Centre to boost agricultural activities in the area. Mr Nicholas Yayin Niper, the District Chief Executive for the Bia East District in the Western North Region, has presented more than 200 start-up kits to apprentice trainees after a skills training exercise.
