AAI Congratulates Mr Kwamigah Atokple on Election to Volta Region Council of State

Keta: The Africa Aid Institute (AAI), a think tank focused on Africa development, has congratulated Mr. Gabriel Adovoe Kwamigah Tanko Atokple on his election as a Council of State member to represent the Volta region.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Atokple's election was a testament to his strong leadership, dedication, and commitment to development and progress in Volta and Ghana as a whole. Mr. Bright Martins Attigah, the Founder and President of AAI, noted in an interview that the trust placed in Mr. Tanko Atokple by distinguished members of the electoral college reflected his integrity, experience, and the positive impact he has exhibited over the years.

"At Africa Aid Institute, we are committed to driving socio-economic progress in Ghana through research, policy advocacy, and initiatives that promote good governance and sustainable development. We really welcome Mr. Atokple's victory," he said.

Mr. Attigah emphasized that AAI was a dedicated organization assessing the impact of international growth and believed that Mr. Atokple's role as a Council of State member would significantly contribute to national development. He expressed hope that the victory would create more opportunities to champion policies enhancing governance, socio-economic transformation, and national progress.

"Mr. Tanko Atokple's presence in this esteemed body signifies a fresh perspective and renewed hope for the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole. I hope and believe in the progress of our beloved country."

He further expressed confidence that Mr. Atokple's tenure would be marked by innovative ideas and strategic counsel, contributing significantly to national development. Mr. Attigah anticipated a positive impact from Mr. Atokple's service and hoped for fruitful collaboration in pursuing sustainable development for the country's progress.

Mr. Attigah also urged everyone to rally behind and support the Council of State member, providing necessary advice and plans that would enhance the region's development. Some residents of the Keta municipality expressed excitement over the victory and encouraged Mr. Atokple to develop Volta with new initiatives to create jobs for youth.

Mr. Atokple won the election with 24 votes out of 36 cast, beating 12 other aspirants in the Volta regional Council of State members race. He joins 15 other regional representatives tasked with providing necessary advice to the president.

Meanwhile, the 31 Council of State Members, chaired by former speaker of Parliament Mr. Doe Adjahoe, comprises three Ex-Officio Members, a president of the house of chiefs, 16 regional representatives, and eleven presidential appointees.
