Shatta Wale and Epixode Submit Projects for Grammy Consideration

Accra: Ghanaian musicians Shatta Wale and Epixode have officially submitted their work for consideration at the 68th Grammy Awards event. Shatta Wale, in a social media post, said he had presented the 'Street Crown' project for the Best African Music Performance category. He expressed his excitement about the Grammy Academy's approval for consideration, with the first round of screening set to begin on October 3, 2025. According to Ghana News Agency, Shatta Wale emphasized that this opportunity is not only significant for him but also for Ghana, Africa, and fans of African Dancehall music. He acknowledged the recognition from the Grammy Academy, stating that win or lose, the nomination is already a victory for the Shatta Movement and young individuals who believe in achieving dreams through hard work, consistency, and faith. Another Ghanaian artist, Epixode, has also submitted his recording titled 'Chobio' for Grammy consideration in the Best African Performance category. Epixode expressed confidence on soc ial media about securing a nomination in the category, highlighting the importance of showcasing the impact and relevance of Ghanaian reggae/dancehall music over the years. The nominees for the 68th Grammy Awards will be announced on November 7, 2025, and the main awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2026.
