During a visit to the centre of the capital on Friday evening, President Kais Saied ordered the redevelopment of Barcelona and Mongi Bali squares, as it was the case with Place Pasteur, according to a statement from the presidency. The President of the Republic inspected the progress of the renovation of the Ibn Khaldoun Cultural Centre, which he had ordered. He noted several shortcomings, which he stressed must be remedied quickly, as «neither superficial renovations nor half-measures are acceptable.» The Head of State then went to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior, where he met the Minister of the Interior, the Secretary of State for National Security and several security officials. The President of the Republic stressed the need to redouble efforts to combat all forms of crime and to enforce respect for the law. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
