Accra: Mr. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, has assured that the Black Stars will restore national pride with a strong performance in their final World Cup qualifying matches against Central African Republic and Comoros. Ghana, with two games to spare, currently sits top of Group I with 19 points, hoping to secure maximum points to book a fifth appearance at the mundial.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Iddie Adams stated, "With faith, collective effort, and the relentless spirit of our Black Stars, I believe they will rise to the occasion and bring honor to Ghana." He encouraged the nation's fans to continue rallying behind the team, praying for their success, and maintaining confidence that Ghana's Black Stars will deliver the results that Ghanaians hope for.
He highlighted that the team's determination in previous matches reflects their strong desire to end the qualifying campaign on a historic high. He called on Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars with prayers, cheers, and unwavering support as the team gears up for the battle ahead.
The Sports Minister further emphasized the importance of national unity and support, noting that it would greatly boost the players' morale and inspire them to achieve success. "As the countdown to match days 9 and 10 continues, all eyes are on the Black Stars, with the hope that their hard work and determination will lead to victory and national pride," he added.
Ghana is set to face the Central African Republic on October 8, 2025, followed by a final clash against Comoros on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
