Accra: The Legacy Crop Improvement Centre Limited (LCIC) will mark its 10th anniversary on Saturday, November 8, with a commemorative event at the Legacy Square in Otareso in the Akwapim North Municipality. The celebration, themed 'Ten Years of Stewarding Seed Business Excellence,' will focus on LCIC's decade-long contributions to Ghana's seed industry, including innovations in seed technology, strategic partnerships, and sustainable crop development. According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by LCIC Founder and CEO Dr. Amos Rutherford Azinu highlighted that the event would feature keynote addresses from distinguished guests, recognition of stakeholders, and the unveiling of the Centre's strategic vision for the next decade. The programme will also include a commemorative ceremony, networking sessions with industry leaders, and a field visit to LCIC's seed technology park. Dr. Azinu emphasized the significance of the Centre's role in empowering Ghana's seed sector through research, training, and se ed quality enhancement over the past decade. The Centre has been instrumental in supporting farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices, which have been crucial for the sector's growth and development.
